The tie is best cleaned through professional dry cleaning or gentle hand washing. Do not machine-wash or rub the fabric, as this may distort the fibres. After contact with water, to restore its original shape, smooth it with steam while holding it vertically, or lightly press it through a cotton cloth on low heat. After each wear, untie the knot to prevent permanent creases. Store the tie by hanging it on a hanger or rolling it loosely from the narrow end.
